How do I get job experience when there are no entry level jobs?

Well, talk about depressing. My dad went to see an old friend of his yesterday. They talked about life and what not. Typical catch up stuff. When they got to talking about their kids, my dad learned something interesting. Turns out ol' boy's kid went through the same situation I am currently in.

Two years ago, he graduated from college with a degree in Business Engineering (I believe that's what it was called) but he couldn't find employment in his field. He looked around pretty much everywhere for those TWO years before saying fuck it and joined the military. When I heard about what the son went through, it made me depressed for what the future will throw at me. I mean, it's been almost 6 months for me since I graduated and I haven't had much luck in the job search either. You'd figure with a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters in Forensic Science, I'd be able to gain some form of employment as a DNA Analyst. But unfortunately, the economy has stopped the government from creating entry level employment. It's cheaper to just keep the experienced workers around for a bit longer.

Damn this of lack of experience shit. How can I get experience if there are no entry level jobs to give me said experience? Really... :/

My dad mentioned a new approach to finding a job - calling local paternity labs and asking them point blank if they have any openings. He reckons some of the labs may not advertise job openings online. I decided to give his plan a shot. Heck, what do I have to lose? I called my first location an hour ago (after giving myself a pep talk xD Lol why am I so nervous to talk with strangers!?). Unfortunately, they didn't have any openings but asked for my resume if anything should open. I'll send my resume but I'm not seeing much happening. Meh, one rejection isn't the end. You have to try to see if it'll work! It's like that guy on tv said when he didn't get a lot of fish but another boat near him did: I'm not discouraged because I'm probably next in line to get a big catch like him! 8D Oh you optimistic Japanese man! Thanks for giving me the drive to continue my search :)

I'm very thankful to my dad for helping me out during this stressful time. He could have kicked me out and said good luck at McD's but instead gave me a roof over my head and food to eat ;____; Thanks dad! I won't give up!
